CSI Welcomes Dr. V.J. Victor, Ph.D.
to Advisory Board

March 24, 2004

I have been involved in materials science research for more than 30 years. Beginning with my Ph.D. work at the Physics Department of the Friendship University in Moscow, and the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, where I had worked under eminent Scientists and Members of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, such as Prof. Kussakov, Academician Prof. Levich and Academician Prof. Deryagin and later teaching at the premier technical university of India, namely, the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

My doctoral research was in the field of Physical Chemical Thermodynamics of Micro-Hydrodynamics, in which field I have made some basic discoveries regarding the Thermocapillary Hysteretic behavior of the Flow of Water through Porous Materials. At that time I was thrilled by the discoveries made by my guides Profs. Kussakov & Deryagin with respect to “Poly Water”, a term coined by them to describe the macromolecular clusters of water under certain conditions.

When I first heard about Lorenzen’s Clustered Water Technology, I was cautiously skeptical, and rushed to the USA to meet with him. After more than one year of evaluating the clustered water, the clinical data, double blind studies and physical testing data, I am pleased to support this research and join the CSI Scientific Advisory Board.

As a Scientist intrigued by the “cleanal behavior of agglomerates of water molecules” in my research, I am now convinced that Lorenzen has opened the door to convert the basic research into a replicable and mass producible Technology, which holds tremendous promise in improving cell hydration/function and as a delivery system for nutrients, herbs and medications. I consider it a privilege to be associated with CSI International and look forward to contributing to this research.

Sincerely,

V.J. Victor, Ph.D.

In a pilot study with middle-aged women with moderate edema (water retention), the test subjects showed dramatic increases in cell water mobility. The subjects consumed 8 fluid ounces (240 ml) of either tap water, distilled water or Clustered Water. Baseline impedance testing was performed using an RJL bioimpedance device. Within 45 minutes of consumption, the subjects were tested again for impedance, total intracellular water and total extracellular water.

When intracellular water reaches maximum levels and mobility, this helps contribute to normal cell protein structure and function, improves nutrient delivery, facilitates cell waste removal, and raises the phase angle of the hydrated tissue, a key indicator of cell health (see RJLsystems.com for more information).

Because many types of fluids are used in the diet, we make the false assumption that all liquids hydrate equally. In fact, certain caffeine-containing beverages, soft drinks, and alcohol can actually lower total body water and reduce the amount of intracellular water influencing that important 60/40 ratio.

Clustered solutions are the first patented beverages which truly improve hydration rates, leading to better metabolic efficiency.

Tsinghua University Studies

In an independent study performed by Professor Li Fu-zhi and his associates with the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering, Tsinghua University in Beijing and published in the peer reviewed Chinese Journal of Environmental Health (vol. 20, 2003), our solutions were evaluated with other waters. The title of the article, Characteristic Cluster Structure of Good Quality Natural Drinking Water, evaluated our solutions and compared them to spring waters, rain, and contaminated water sources. The scientists used oxygen-17 NMR analysis and stated “ the relative size of the water cluster can be concluded by the width of the NMR spectrum.” In other words, the smaller the NMR value, the smaller the water cluster size.

The following table and graph represent their findings plus findings from scientists in Taiwan and Japan:

Source NMR Value (Hertz)

Vivo Clustered Water 67
Glacier Water 68
Water from a high longevity area 76
Mongolian spring water 78
Evian spring water 83
Well water 105
Distilled water 118
Rain 119
Contaminated underground water 1 122
Tap water 127
Contaminated underground water 2 145

In a research project in Japan, water treated with electricity was found to have an initial NMR value of 60 Hertz, but after only 2 weeks the NMR value was over 100. This means that these types of waters may be helpful when first made, but are unstable (oxygen will not stabilize these waters). Vivo, on the other hand, has shown no change after more than 2 years. Also, regarding bottled waters, initial values may be good, but what occurs as the bottles age? This needs to be researched.

The NMR value is one way of accessing the water quality of our solutions. In addition, we also use bioimpediance measurements, Korotkov measurements, sports/physical testing, and medical/clinical trials (a 450 patient study is currently in process in cooperation with the Chinese Health Care Science and Technology Society).

2003 Chinese Health Care Studies

For many years, people have reported back to us how much better they feel after using our solutions. To better understand how our solutions help promote better, more rapid hydration, we worked with the Chinese Health Care Science and Technology Society (CHCSTS) in Beijing, China to create clinical trials with patients. The primary investigators of this study were Zhu Kang-Nian, M.D., Secretary General of the CHCSTS, Zhi. Y. Wang, Ph.D., former Associate Professor, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and Professor Zhong Can Zhou, M.D., Chairman, Department of Toxicology, Beijing University. Consulting scientists/physicians also included Jeff Baker, M.D., Preventive Medicine, Springdale, AR; Hoang Van Duc, M.D., D.Sc., Clinical Professor of Pathology , University of Southern California School of Medicine; Francisco Carrillo, M.D., Spanish Hospital, Mexico City; and David Stokesbary, M.D., Director, Advanced Magnetic Research Institute, Laguna Niguel, CA.

Physical Testing

According to Laser Raman Spectra studies conducted by Laboratoire Forte Pharma (France), an interesting behavior of Clustered Water was observed: in all the studied spectral fields (Low frequency, Intermediate frequency, High frequency), the intensity of Raman Diffusion was much lower than that of Ultrapure water (18.2 M ohms) which was the selected reference.

Laboratory Studies: Effect of Clustered Water on Immune Function

We used two typical in vitro and in vivo Con-A Stimulated spleen lymphocyte proliferation models to evaluate the immune modulatory effect of clustered water.

In an in vivo model, twenty mice were given only clustered water, while 20 mice in the control group were given only de-ionized water. After 2 weeks, there was an approximate 60% increase in lymphocyte production measured in the clustered water group (p<0.05). Using an in vitro spleen cell culture system, a similar immune effect was observed.

Clinical Studies: Effect of Clustered Water on Bio-Phase Angle in Humans

This study used the Bioelectric Impedance Analyzer (BIA, Made by RJL Inc., USA), to measure phase angle and measure hydration and cellular water movement. Phase angle is an established method to measure general cell function. Bioimpedance research has established that as we age, the ratio of intracellular to extracellular water changes dramatically (intracellular water levels drop with age accompanied by a reduction in cell water mobility). Low intracellular water compromises cell waste removal, nutrient absorption and protein structure. Recently, phase angle was accepted as an important marker to evaluate general health in clinical studies.

This was a self-control study. All 31 subjects (average age 55) were cared by hospital physicians. Subjects were given 250 ml 30 min before breakfast and lunch. BIA measurements and related clinical examinations were conducted at days 1, 3, 6, 9, 12, 15 and 37, respectively. Over half of the patients noticed initial (2-3 day) subjective increases in urine output and an increased frequency in bowel movements. Some noticed headaches and itching (all signs of detoxification). Over 50% noted improved sleep, vision and an increased thirst. Phase angle measurements showed significant increases in 55% of those studied indicating improved overall health.

Medical Support

I chose patients who had experienced limited or baseline plateau response to traditional therapeutic regimens for a diverse range of problems. Baseline therapy was unchanged as the use of clustered water was introduced over a 4-week period. Of 22 patients who completed the regimen, 14 have noted significant subjective improvement of symptoms which 1) waned with a distilled water washout and 2) were restored with return to clustered water solutions.

Jeff Baker, M.D.
Springdale, AR

Significant improvements have been noted in my patients. I feel that clustered solutions pose a novel approach to many abnormal physiological conditions when used with other effective generally accepted forms of therapy.

Bruce Odell, M.D.

The imprinting of characteristics into clustered water structures clearly belongs to the philosophy of inducing order into biostructures with therapeutic aims, one of the leading ideas of my book: Biostructures and Radiation Order Disorder.

My own experience with clustered solutions has been extremely positive. Although the modes of action of tested solutions is inexplicable, the patient response has been undeniable. I have observed remarkable improvements in patients suffering from a number of disorders.
